राम अनंत अनंत गुनानी। जन्म कर्म अनंत नामानी॥ जल सीकर महि रज गनि जाहीं। रघुपति चरित न बरनि सिराहीं॥
भावार्थ:-भगवान् श्री राम अनंत हैं, उनके गुण अनंत हैं, जन्म, कर्म और नाम भी अनंत हैं। जल की बूँदें और पृथ्वी के रजकण चाहे गिने जा सकते हों, पर श्री रघुनाथजी के चरित्र वर्णन करने से नहीं चूकते॥
Infinite is Rama, Infinite is his excellences; his births, exploits and names too are endless. It may be possible to count the drops (in shower of a rain) or the grains of sand, but the exploits of Rama can not be recounted in full.
राम चरित जे सुनत अघाहीं। रस बिसेष जाना तिन्ह नाहीं॥ [Manas 7.53.1]
भावार्थ:- श्री रामजी के चरित्र सुनते-सुनते जो तृप्त हो जाते हैं (बस कर देते हैं), उन्होंने तो उसका विशेष रस जाना ही नहीं।
They who feel satiated with hearing the exploits of Shri Rama have little known their peculiar sapor.
जीवनमुक्त महामुनि जेऊ। हरि गुन सुनहिं निरंतर तेऊ॥
भावार्थ:- जो जीवन्मुक्त महामुनि हैं, वे भी भगवान् के गुण निरंतर सुनते रहते हैं॥
Even those great sages who have attained final beatitude in their very lifetime constantly hear the praises of lord Hari.
