ICC T20 World Cup: Australia vs WI

Author : jaideep khanduja      Blog :Pebble In The Still Waters      Date: 9/22/2012 4:47:00 PM

Setting a target of 192 to win for Australia when West Indies batted first looked as if it will be a tough challenge for Australia. But the way David Warner and Shane Watson started and drove the score to 30 in just 2 overs displayed Australia's intentions very clearly.

Though Warner got out on the first ball of third ball at 28 that he made just in 14 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes, there was nothing that could stop Watson, who has mastered T20 format excellently. With the help of Hussey Australia is able to cross 3 digit mark in the beginning of tenth over of their innings. Going great guns with an average of over 10 runs per over Australia is clearly moving towards achieving their target of 192.
