Lice can be controlled by the following preparations.These can be made at home itself.
1.Take talcum powder and add .0 % prethrum dust.Mix well..Sprinkle this powder on the hair before going to bed and then rub vigorously so that it reaches the roots.While applying cover your mouth,eyes and nose for protection.
2.An anti-lice oil can also be made with coconut or mustard oil mixed with .2% lindane(BHC).It can be substituted with .1% prethrum essence.This oil can be rubbed well in to the scalp to kill the lice.
These preparations should be applied in the nights and left overnight in the hair.Tie a cloth around your head after applying so that you don’t spoil your pillow.Wash this off the following morning.Follow this for a week or so..You will see that lice have been completely eliminated.
