Review: I missed those good old 2d puzzle solving games and this game was released at exactly the right time for me. It hit me just when I was in the mood for an adventure game. Ussually I get bored with this kind of games but this is the third game I actually enjoyed until the very end. The other two were the curse of monkey island (the whole series) and the Machinarium.
Graphics: The graphics are very nice and smooth as in every 2D game these days. I didn't notice anything really surprising except maybe the luck of bugs. Also the water motion in 2D games always amazes me for some strange reason...
Gameplay: It is pretty simple yet fullfilling actually. You can move the little robot around by pressing the standarized "wasd" keys and activate its "magnetic hook" with every other key a normal person would try, this includes left and right mouse keys, space bar, enter and some other keys. The developers have done a really great job with simulating gravity and the effects of mass on movement. Also the speed and inertia of the robot is very realisticaly affected by the weight of the things it is carrying. Good job guys.
Story: Well as in all good old creepy 2D adventures you start right in the game with almost no explanation as to where you are, why are you there, what is going on the world, what date is it or any info you would need... In this game it doesn't get any better later. I still don't know anything about the era or the world or even this robot. The strange thing is, I don't really mind that, it was just so fullfilling helping this little robot get back to safety. Also there are 2 different endings to the game and I explored both of them ^^
The game is made by an indie company so they need our support, and I am always happy to support indie developers when they are worth it. These guys tottaly worth it. The game is sold for less than 10$ so go get it people !
