So you want to achieve enlightenment, do you?
The best way, I say, is to renounce everything and go sit under a tree.
You won’t find Bodhis here, a mango tree would do just fine.
Try not to sit under coconut palms; you are seeking to attain higher consciousness, not unconsciousness.
Start meditating, concentrate on your breathing or third eye or watchamacallit, awaken your kundalini, keep your eye on the prize.
And after you achieve this shiny standardized thing called enlightenment, what then?
At the end of it all, you cannot break free, can you? You must seek seek seek. What are you seeking? What are you searching for? What are you hoping to get which you do not have right now?
Who threw a bone which you have to retrieve, and when did you become a dog?
(No disrespect to canines, they take what they get and don’t think much. Good way to live.)
When the crazy ones talk about finding truth, they’re asking that you find Your Truth, not adopt theirs.
It’s a subtle thing, but you don’t get that, do you?
Is this annoying you? I’ll stop. Perhaps I’m missing something, I’ll join you while you go sit under that tree.
