Intel Haswell Processor Release Date
The reports that reached us from
Digitimes, indicated that Intel scheduled the
release date of its next generation
8 series Chipsets such as
Z87 chipset,
H87 chipset (replacement of the current
Z77,
Z75 and
H77 Chipsets) and
4th generation processors based on
Intel Core architecture (
Intel Haswell Processor) in the month of
April 2013, overlapping with the launch date of
Intel Ivy Bridge and
Intel 7-series Chipset's release, happened April 2012.
Details about Intel Haswell Specs
Regarding the
specifications of
Intel Haswell CPU, as already mentioned in
previous posts, it will be built in
22nm with
3D transistors technology and architectural enhancements over existing
Intel Ivy Bridge. Intel promises again that there will be an increase in the performance of
integrated graphics processor, as it did from
Sandy Bridge vs Ivy Bridge. It is a regrettable fact that
Intel Haswell CPUs will use
LGA-1150 socket rather than
LGA-1155 socket, which makes these Haswell processors incompatible with current motherboards that support
Intel Ivy Bridge.
Intel 8 Series Z87, H87, Q87 Chipsets Release Date Details
In
April 2013,
Intel will release the first performance-level mainstream
Haswell processors, and
Z87 Chipsets and
H87 Chipsets too, to replace the existing
Z77, Z75 and H77 Chipsets. The entry-level
H81 Chipsets will be released in June 2013 to replace the existing
H61 Chipset. For business customers Intel offers
Q87 Chipsets.
Q85,
Q87 and
B85 Chipsets support
vPro technology, especially focused on entrepreneurial characteristics.
Ivy Bridge Life Span may be Reduced
By the way these dates are not definitive, Intel may reschedule or defer to your needs, make a short life cycle for your Ivy Bridge processors. Intel Ivy Bridge, despite being an excellent product, is criticized for offering a marginal increase in performance than Sandy Bridge and the poor quality of the substrate temperature used.
