I was tagged by Ashima for these eleven questions and here are the answers to those. I'll pass on the tag soon.
1). When did you start blogging and why?
2011, essentially to put into a place my published poetry, short stories and other kinds of writing. And to wail and whine about things I want to change in my life and in the society around me.
2). What makes life worth living?
Parents and brother.
3). What do you like doing in your spare time?
Sleep, since that is an un-affordable luxury in life.
4). Who was your first celebrity crush?
Rahul Dravid.
5). What one quality would you give the most importance to while choosing (or having chosen) a life partner?
One guy who lets me be myself and doesn't mould me to fit into his plans and perceptions and those of his family. Someone who understands my ambitious dreams and doesn't stereotype me to fit into the roles of a cook, cleaner and the mother of his children.
6). What do you like most about your job? (Do answer this even if you chose to be a home-maker, because that is a full-time job in itself!)
Science is a riddling puzzle, and much of what we do begins as a question everyday. The uncertainty that surrounds our research projects and the joy of nailing the answer.
7). Are you happy with your present choice of career, or would you rather be doing something else?
Yes, I am happy because I am doing what I wanted to, despite a lot of struggling in the initial days.
8). Do you follow your head or your heart more?
Head, I believe in being calculative, even though that doesn't work all the time.
9). If you were given the chance to rewind your life and do any one thing differently, what would that be?
Nothing really, I am happy with the past and the present. There is nothing I want to change that is history now.
10). How would you react if you were being followed by a shady-looking character in a secluded place?
I would keep walking without looking back at the person following me, until my legs can take me to a safer place after which I will seek for help. Infact I was followed by three men while on my way to college at 7.30 am in the wee hours of the morning, and I did exactly the same, without getting petrified.!
11). Tell me about someone whom you've met in the strangest manner, who has then gone on to become an integral part of your life.
T, is this one person I randomly met through Orkut in 2009 and have since treasured as a gem of a friend. Even though we have never met in real life, he inspired me to write when no one else believed in my talents, and it is he who has always been supportive of my dreams and plans. A very precious friend for keeps. Wish him the very best in life.!
