Being a woman in India is not easy. You grow up with millions of rules and restrictions governing your life. You are taught to always keep a low profile, be non- confrontational for your own safety. And then suddenly people started talking about reacting, standing your ground, teahcing others a lesson. People say once you react, there will be other to take your side, to argue for you, help you. You start thinking maybe things are taking a turn for the better. And then one morning you wake up and you read something like this (click

that leaves you quivering in white hot rage, that makes you want to scream till your throat is hoarse, that makes you wonder if being a woman has any value in our great nation.
I have always said that I would prefer to settle anywhere other than in India because I know what it is like for a woman here. People have always told me that I should try to change people's attitude and not run away like a coward. After reading this, I have to say I would prefer to run away and be safe than risk my life standing up to a bunch of gutless, brainless, morons. Now it has only reached verbal abuse. The day is not far when one of my kind is going to get beaten up for the same. Shame on us as a nation.. That is all I will say.
