Reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? is the most well-known of the Philip K. Dick novels – largely thanks to Blade Runner. And rightly so, as this is probably the most commercial of his works, and as such the best introduction to the genius. That said, it still is among the best that the genre has to offer.

It has everything a SiFi fan can ask for – terrifying vision, loads of drama, and what it means to be human. I think it is such a great work because it works as well today as it must have back when it was published. Soviet Union is no more, but social media has come up making us all live alone together – and the theme of the novel seems to have become more relevant today than it was in 1968.

A must read.
