My trip to France was awesome in many ways. Except I just could not take to French food. So I ate the croissants and pain au raisins all day long.
Of course, we went to the Eiffel Tower and did all the touristy things. My husband read the map for hours, while I just stopped random people on the street and asked for directions.
It was a cloudy day, not to mention super cold and windy. Of course, us being Indian and assuming summer means summer, didn't have any warm clothes. The Arc was beautiful and oddly, this was the day the French were celebrating their victory in Algeria. Good thing the Algerians were there to protest. I was going to join them. But I saw the Cartier shop and kind of gravitated towards it.
Beautiful and elegant and so expensive. I peered into the window for so long, my nose left a big spot of oil on the window. I was so nervous I did that, I kind of ran away.

Somehow, we landed up at a patisserie. Turns out it was one of the best in the city.
We also accidentally found the world's most stunning door!
My most favourite part about Paris were the flower shops.
And of course, the flowers !
This quaint little park with a gothic fountain was close to where we were living. I spent quite a bit of time here on weekends.
