Noun:
A person who indulges in hypocrisy.
Synonyms: dissembler – pharisee
Another One: Someone who hates it when people do certain things or talk shit about other people but they do it themselves.
Origin:
1175–1225; Middle English ipocrite < Old French < Late Latin hypocrita < Greek hypokritḗs a stage actor, hence one who pretends to be what he is not, equivalent to hypokrī́ ( nesthai ) ( see hypocrisy) + -tēs agent suffix
This world is full of such kind of people. This is sad but is TRUE. You have two options in front of them.
1) Expose them, or
2) Keep mum.
Option one is always better but not when the other is powerful and holds control on one and all. This not impossible though. But it is of no use if the other person is not listening to you and is not going to accept ones mistake.
In that case it is better to keep mum
Period.
