Some fleeting but reassuring moments

Its an unbelievably warm feeling...comes as a rainbow in the aftermath of a turbulent storm. Some simple kind words that literally caress your soul. They come from a stranger asking a very simple thing, showing a bit of care, kindness and empathy. They come at a time when badly needed after a disastrous series of events coming at you one after another like a stack of dominos. They come from an elderly gentleman whom you just met at a hotel lobby, seeing desperation on your face...understanding very little about it, but still managing to do the right thing.
These are the things that take you through the next step, help to carry you forward and move ahead in whatever it is that you wanted to do after. I cant really give thanks enough to that gentleman, nor that he would know why I am thanking him. It was just enough what I got from him. It was priceless.
