'There is something about creating fantasy landscapes... I have never really painted one before but I have imagined up quite a few of them in my head. It is a world that bows to no rules... even hard scientific data may not ground it... so concepts of physics such as gravity, pressure and structural forces and all may or may not apply to these.I am just learning digital painting... to me it doesn't come as naturally as traditional painting. I have to check online tutorials and read u(...)'

'Tada! A Cadillac Escalade. The Nawaab's CaddyMy very first automobile model! The model is quite chunky... I have just started learning to use 3DS Max. In time, I hope to improve.Created the model in 3DS Max without the wheels and logo and then exported it to Google Sketchup. I got the wheels from 3D warehouse. Put them together and rendered the image using SU Podium. The Cadillac logo came from the wheel.Dedicating this one to the Nawaab... the car even has his number plate! ;)Af(...)'

'XenaXena with the poemWhenever I post anything on my other blog I tend to post some artwork with it which 9 times out of 10, I create on my own. In college I had a nickname… Xena, The Warrior Princess… and I thought since the poem I wrote up for the 7x7x7x7 project reflected a warrior woman, I should sketch something along the lines. I found a sketch online that was kind of what I wanted but not quite… so I decided to use that as a reference and create my own Xena. An hour of sketch(...)'

'I have always wanted a house on a cliff or a buff overlooking either the ocean or a lovely valley... but, then my income is a little short on digits and zeroes! The next best thing would be to have me design the interiors for a house like that which belongs to someone else... a design without budget constraints, a design that uses the best materials but does not look over the top, minimalist enough to be my style and a little casual to give that cozy feel I love.I have worked on the (...)'

'To continue with what I started previously, while playing around with my camera I decided to make use of a jewelry box that has been with me since I can remember. This little beauty is almost as old as I am. And the best part is that it looks just as gorgeous as it did back then, albeit with a little faded paint here and there. Also, it still plays music when wound... the lovely, entrancing, tinkling common to most musical jewel-boxes.Along with it I used a pair of stags / reindeer (...)'

'I just got myself a Nikon D5100. Yaayy for me! :DI know nothing about using DSLRs; for that matter the whole art of photography is new and unknown to me. But, I believe I have a fair grasp on composition and lighting and I hope to use that while I take baby steps towards understanding the technical aspects of photography. For now I have started taking snaps of whatever lies around the house.I use the simplest of set-ups and no specific lighting of any kind. Just the two lights in my (...)'

'*For sensitive viewers... this might be NSFW. But if you watch Bollywood item numbers, this is pretty basic. So there, you decide.*I painted this to try out the air-brush brushes of Photoshop CS6. I think they give too much of a soft focus effect which I don't care so much for... I realized later from the internet that this can be controlled. As this digital painting experience is by trial and error, I am bound to come up with lots of experimental creations, most of them le(...)'

'Today, I got myself something I have been wanting for quite a long time… a graphical pen-tablet.And not just any pen-tablet, but the Wacom Intuos5 Touch. Yep, only the best for me! :DThe tablet is quite large (actually it is the medium sized one with an active area of 8.8" x 5.5")… but it is sleek and surprisingly light. I like the sleek, matte blacks used in its design and the pen is very comfortable. As soon as I installed the necessary software and got the tablet ready, I gave it (...)'

'Chocolate and orange... a delicious combination... and not just limited to truffles. The bittersweet yumminess of chocolate combines with the tangy bite of orange to give color to this room. The furniture is simple and elegant and there is that spark of timeless design in the form of the Bubble Chair (Eero Aarnio).A collection of delicate vases add a hint of sophistication. An IKEA PS Pendel clock shelf anchors the 'Less is more' funda of the room. One For The Chocoholics!I will put u(...)'

'Turquoise and Gold are regal colors. Add that furniture made of aged wood and carved jhali windows / jharokhas and the whole room gets transported to an opulent era.I have tried to recreate a little bit of that regal splendor in this traditional styled room with polished stone floors and inlaid tiled floor borders. Wood trims for the walls and a matching skirting frames the bright walls. The skylight is again framed in wood. The furniture has a touch of bronze & go(...)'

'When space is a constraint and for people who are rarely at home for a sit-down dinner, it does not make sense to have an elaborate dining space. It can just as easily be accommodated in a cafe style setting within the living room. That's what I have done with this space. The walls have a cladding of tiles which have a slight shimmer to them. Even though they are dark tiles, the shimmer gives the room a sense of shifting space.Large windows which let in a lot of light durin(...)'
