'That is tanglish. Sanja is in the middle oflearning many english words and she is trying make them appear more tamil but saying them in the way we pronounce the tamil words. A sample Amma,  I sing pattu, but R ( her class mate) always singamata as is to say  - I sing but R doesnt sing.We say in tamil- ava pada mata to mean she doesnt sing so she just substituted the pada with sing :PAnd as a baby she never said I , me , mine , she used to say naaku, naandu . The weekend that zipped past us

'It has been a hectic weekend this Sat / Sun. Am left with a bodyache and reddened eyes . saturday morning we were off very early to an eye hospital for Sanja 's eye checkup. We had our breakfast at the hospital and since the check up got over by 9:30Am ,S suggested we take a peak at the Landmark sale. so off we went to nungambakkam land mark and waiting for half hour for the shop to open.. Sanja had a gr8 time looing at so many books. She was totally in awe with so many books around(...)'

The mandatory school visit

'Happened on feb 2nd .So S, Sanja and myself  took our Duro for the ride till her school that is almost 12km from home taking a highway and beatuiful scenary of the air force training cetree on one side and small lake on the other side. 30 years of togetherness

'Happy anniversary to Appa and Amma as they complete 30 years of wedded life and 35+ years of knowing one another .Appa ,amma decided to visit the temple at Thiruneermalai where they got married. 'The lady of the house is back to reading books big time. Yesterday night she had the Mickey clubhouse  book series (some 12 of them) with her. She read each one of them, identifying things in each page. The book has the disney characters doing some stuff , going on trips, some animals , teaches colors ,shapes, etc.. etc... And so this is how madam read it out to me from one of the books where each one is preparing something for the party.Minnie and plate and mummam (food).Goofy(...)'

'The ending of 2011 - The year it was - Okay with many ups and downs .Ups:Sanja started school. She is learning new stuffs good and some not so good stuff. Were able to take vacation twice - to Munnar and Goa.Part payment of home loans.Experimenting with dishes at home. Gaining confidence that I can whip up anything. Weekend tales

'Saturday-Got up at 6:30AM - cleaned up the house (sweeping . mopping). Had head bath since we had Karthigai deepam. Then started cooking food.Dishes : Pumpkin pullipu koothu, rasam, raw banana curry, payasam, vadai.Sanja on the other hand was painting some of the new diyas , the newspaper etc..Then snoozed alongwith Sanja.In the afternoon - cleaned up the diyas, helped MIL GMIL with the kadalai orundais.Made maggi for self and Sanja. The school visit

'So the whole family had a picnic on saturday( Sep 10th) at Sanja montessori school. (Iam almost 2 months late in posting this --ooops)First we visited the temple inside the campus. Then the school van took us to the various places inside the campus.The swimming pools for the big kids and the tiny tots are well maintained .it is good to see that extreme care is taken when they are taught to swim.Then to the kids-friendly park.
