'Life has taken a big turn upside down. And it still feels dizzy inside (how I just hate roller coasters!)Let me be honest and simply accept this - I had always prepared to get into my dream B-School and dreamt of a starry job and paychecks after it but I had never actually thought of 'Life in a B-School'. Confessing this (yes that seems to be the buzzword around on the FB pages, the poor priest at the church has his own parity issues now :|) I just can't blame the 1 year so far at M(...)'

'Neither the past nor the future..the bliss is here in the present..sayeth so all the wise men..but none explained how to make it happen..If memories did not exist..wouldn't the world be better..would it not be helpful..if there was no sense of future..For I would then forget..and you won't have to remember..the beauty of the present..was all we could have had when togther'

'Flash BackBook in hand, pleasant early November breeze and time to enjoy it all.Back to the presentBook in hand, exams nearing.. time to enjoy not just the good old November evening but the complexities of finance in an international marketing class! Talk about ambitions.Surely there will be a future forward when this will be missed too,Guess that's what boring personal blogs are there to remind about! And it works too..as always.Thankfully there are somethings which don't (...)'

'The Wednesday turned out to be more than just another day as the German constitutional court   gives its nod to the much awaited new Europe's bailout & the good news spread forward as they stated how the ESM - European Stability Mechanism didn't violate any of their laws. The positive sentiments created definitely pushed the world markets up with our very own BSE crossing the 18000 mark yesterday. What to look forward to - the week ahead:1. Federal Reserve's policy meet(...)'

'I could have blogged about the drastic changes happening around me. The sudden mail (not actually, as I was all finger-biting-anxiously-waiting for it), the great experience I then had at work on how to actually deal with the most practical challenges, traveling back to the place I hated the most on the Earth (yes & it even takes credit for being the most sought or rather talked after city in my blog too!) I mean how come I didn't blog about the place I loved the most (my good o(...)'

'They say, as a kid we all have that one nightmare we remember. I am not sure if this goes true for sweet dreams too but this post is about one I had when I was small. As a kid we so loved receiving gifts packed in those shiny starry gift wrappers. Wait. We still love that , don't we? And we will continue doing that. The surprise of getting something new from family or a friend!  These days I remember a short & sweet dream I had long long back. I was sleeping in my parents ro(...)'

'Continuing with the Indian Author spree, I now completed the Banking Trilogy by Ravi Subramanian. I wonder if trilogy is actually the word here coz' I felt I was reading the same book thrice. Not that I am complaining because I would have never gone for the third book - 'Devil in Pinstripes' after the second one - The Incredible Banker. (First being If God was a banker) The author makes carries forward the story line in a way, gripping enough to make you feel it is a fresh story tho(...)'

'Excerpts from the Transcript of the speech Sheryl Sandberg, the current COO, FB gave in her commencement speech to Barnard Class of 2011.The next step is you’re going to have to believe in yourself potentially more than you do today. Studies also show that compared to men, women underestimate their performance. If you ask men and women questions about completely objective criteria such as GPAs or sales goals, men get it wrong slightly high; women get it wrong slightly low. More i(...)'

(that is of course when tons of the work finally gets over, in case you are from my office & reading this ;)) Interestingly, for a change, I came to know about the author here first before the book itself, thanks to 'cricinfo.com' & 'twitter' where I have been following Sidin Vadukut's tweets until he mentioned about his com(...)'

'Alok was too lost in his thoughts & may be that is why he didn't notice that his flight was about to land.It was only when the otherwise noticeable Air hostess asked him to tie his seat belt, he shifted his attention from the clouds ,which as always had a unique soothing formation of their own, outside his window that he came back to the present. The journey had given him the time he so badly wanted.A time with himself, alone or rather as they say in the "neutral grounds"(...)'

Among the good reads

'I just completed an Indian fiction "The Immortals of Meluha" - the book 1 of the Shiva Trilogy series by Amish & the first thing I did after completing it was ordering the book 2. I never expected it to be so intriguing given that I had not given much try to such topics as spiritualism specially the one concerning the Great Indian God Shiva, whom we don't find as friendly as the other Gods in the numerous story books or TV series we all grew reading/watching up. Though its cover(...)'
