Tripadvisors are quite reliable, something I realised too..my Munnar trip also was booked based on the reviews there. The Zoom really makes the difference. We got a Nikon DSLR but with only a 3x zoom. We thought we'll upgrade the lens once we get our hands well on the camera nuances. But the zoom quotient was really frustrating, esp with all the bird sightings we did.
hmmm..it is indeed dangerous to trust anyone now.....

To add to Anuj's point here... I don't see us refraining from learning English due to our love of Tamil. Why not? And to answer to your question as to "why learn Hindi?" - here is the simple answer. I am really wary of such over-protective parents..something about which I had written a while ago..Now, this very parent will at another point exasperate about how his ward cries or gives up at the first instance of a minor obstacle. Fighting the child's battles and in this instance unjustifiable ones is doing serious damage to the child's self esteem and sense of right and wrong.
