        આ પહેલા બે વખત શેક્સપિયરના ગ્લોબની મુલાકાત લેવાનો મોકો મળ્યો છે. પહેલીવાર ‘હેમ્લેટ’ જોયું હતું, જ્યારે બીજી વાર ‘મચ અડુ અબાઉટ નથિંગ’ જોયું હતું. બંને વખતે ગુજરાતી રંગભૂમિ અને જોયેલા ગુજરાતી નાટકો યાદ આવતા રહ્યાં અને ગુજરાતી રંગભૂમિની અને અંગ્રેજી રંગભૂમિની સરખામણી મનોમન થયે રાખતી. પણ મનના કોઈ અજ્ઞાત ખૂણે હંમેશા એમ જ થયે રાખતું કે ‘comparison always brings unhappiness.’ માટે મનમાં આ જે સરખામણીઓ થઈ રહી છે તે અયોગ્ય છે.
